Restorative Balm for couperose and rosacea - 2 oz

Organic content 95% This balm will help assist in re-normalizing the skin with its active ingredients that will strengthen and tone the capillaries, and restore their elasticity for long lasting improvement. Aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) has been shown to reinforce capillaries and has a toning effect on the venous system because of a saponin called escin, which is known to decrease vascular fragility by strengthening veins and capillaries. It is also rich in esculoside, which is a potent antioxidant (helps reduce damages to the cells) with strong anti-inflammatory action (reduces puffiness). High in vitamin C, seabuckthorn oil is important for the production and protection of the collagen and elastin structure.

Couperose is caused by blood vessels or capillaries that expand and dilate in response to certain triggers. Symptoms are a red, sensitive, irritated or dry skin.

Rosacea is considered a chronic (long-term), skin disease with periodic ups and downs. The symptoms include red or pink patches, visible broken blood vessels, small red bumps, red cysts and pink or irritated eyes. Such a chronic and hereditary skin disorder can be further aggravated by external sources.

Triggers for couperose and rosacea include: sunlight, extreme hot or cold temperatures, hot drinks and spicy foods, alcohol, harsh or overly strong skincare products and physical and mental stress. Avoiding these culprits can help with your symptoms and prevent flare-ups.
